With a long history of innovation and adaptability, Goodman Metalworks embarked on a significant investment program in their Machine Hall. Looking for the right machinery is a complicated business and all the more challenging with the larger type of fabrications that run through the workshop in Goodman Metalworks.
T W Ward assisted with specification and sourcing to meet the complex needs and a range of new machine tools has been purchased to position Goodman in an enviable position. The latest machine tool is a Hartford PBM135 CNC (10T 3m x 2.5m) horizontal/boring machining centre that joins an Infinity HAS 420 vertical machining centre (8T pallet loading with a 4m x 2m working envelope) and a PBM115B with live spindle and boring capability (8T 1.4m x 1.6m) amongst others.
The latest addition takes the total spend just over £1.25m and puts GMW in an enviable position within UK manufacturing. A complementary buoyant orderbook is keeping all of the new stablemates very busy and positioned well for the future.
